CONNECT & REGISTER

Connect and register SIP devices and applications

The SIP devices are provisioned and registered using native SIP or SIP over secure WebSocket (WebRTC). Once the SIP devices are registered, they are reachable and ready to initiate or receive SIP sessions, such as voice or video calling.
INITIATE A SESSION/CALL

Initiate SIP sessions from SIP or WebRTC devices

Registered devices can initiate and receive SIP sessions i.e voice calls or video communication between devices. If SIP devices are behind NAT or a Firewall, a media relay service will be dynamically added to make sure that devices stay reachable as expected.
CALL EXTERNALLY

Initiate voice calling over the PSTN network

Enable external calling by connecting a SIP-trunk to a PSTN provider to allow inbound and outbound PSTN calls. Connect to a private SIP trunk for your internal SIP service i.e an enterprise PBX or a call center in order to integrate the SIP devices with your existing voice solution.

iotcomms.io handles the watches’ SIP-based voice communication, transcoding of Navigil’s own codec and IVR-based alarm call routing, as well as providing 24/7 global support and limitless global scalability. We chose iotcomms.io because their technology is all cloud-based. We needed the capacity to roll-out into the US, Japan, Australia and Europe.

The iotcomms.io APIs are so feature-rich, we could build everything we wanted – I don’t think we could have found that depth of capability elsewhere. We are addressing high-end customers with large [call] volumes and quite advanced demands. They expect the CCaaS to be feature-rich, and we can provide that.

We needed to tailor solutions and place our own offering on top of their platform. That flexibility and the freedom that comes with it is one of the big reasons why we chose to work with iotcomms.io – they supply the components we need for media & signaling, and we can interface with them at the API level, enabling us to build whatever we want on top.

Provide event-based notifications to your service and invoke additional service logic or activities triggered by events such as SIP device registration or session initiation.

Video Intercom

Allow visitors to communicate with video to a tenant’s mobile phone, tablet, softphone etc via SIP or WebRTC clients, or distribute the video to a reception or surveillance center.

Elevator Communication
