One of the common questions we get about Alarmbridge is whether it can convert digital alarm protocols to analogue protocols so that a digital device or system can communicate with existing Alarm Receiving Centres only capable of handling analogue protocols, such as BS8521:2009 (DTMF). The answer is yes!
SCENARIO 1
You are a telecare device manufacturer that have implemented SCAIP in your device, but still would like to connect your devices to existing Alarm Receiving Centres.
Simply point the heartbeats and alarms to Alarmbridge and we will bridge them into BS8521:2009 and then communicate to the ARC using the analogue protocol. Alarm events from the device is mapped into relevant BS8521:2009 events. Even voice calls can be established between the device and the Alarm Receiving Center.
SCENARIO 2
You are a device manufacturer, who would like to enable your devices to work also in a care environment but have not implemented any of the common care protocols.
Integrate into our Alarmbridge with a REST API and call the Alarmbridge API to trigger the alarm event. When the event is triggered, Alarmbridge will establish a call into the Alarm Receiving Centre and submit the alarm event using the BS8521:2009 protocol.
